Further information for SN2015bs (sic)
To correct the above statement, I note that during 2014 CBAT was officially provided IAU SN designations
(when this SN was discovered by CRTS and confirmed by PESSTO) and continued to provide IAU
designations until December 2015. see: http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/lists/RecentSupernovae.html
During that period spectroscopic confirmation was required for any IAU SN designations. Since members
of PESSTO did not send spectroscopic confirmation information for CSS140925:223344-062208 to
CBAT, no IAU designation was possible.
Members of CRTS have never received any requests from TNS, CBAT, PESSTO or PanSTARRS to
provide discovery information so that this SN would be provided with the correct discovery credit
and a correct 2014 IAU designation.

Discovery information - discovered by CRTS but not TNS reported
The Catalina Real-Time Transient Survey (CRTS) discovered this SN candidate CSS140925:223344-062208 on the 25th of September 2014. It was also recovered by CRTS in the Mount Lemon facility as MLS141116-223344-062208. It was confirmed as a SN by PESSTO in ATel 6516. But CRTS did not report the discovery to the TNS. Pan-STARRS has reported the detection, to record it as an IAU classified SN. But discovery information and credit are formally recorded here.
