Abstract:
This report includes the classification of a blue transient. AT2019wxt shows a blue, relatively featureless continuum with potential broad feature at 5400 - 6200 Angstroms (GCN Circular #26294), and is of interest due to its location within the 80% probability contour of the BNS merger candidate S191213g. We encourage followup observations.

ePESSTO+, the advanced Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey for Transient Objects (Smartt et al. 2015 2015A&A...579A..40S), reports the following supernova classifications.

The target was supplied by the Pan-STARRS Survey for Transients (Chambers et al. 2016 2016arXiv161205560C), via McLaughlin et al. AstroNote 2019-154; McBrien et al., GCN 26485.

Observations were performed on the ESO New Technology Telescope (NTT) at La Silla on the night of 2019 December 18, using EFOSC2 and Grism 13 (3985-9315A, 18A resolution).

The classification spectra and additional details can be obtained from http://www.pessto.org (via WISeREP) and the IAU Transient Name Server.

The preliminary reduced spectrum of AT2019wxt shows blue and featureless continuum which we have reported in GCN 26294, similar to the HCT (Dutta et al., GCN 26490), NOT (Izzo et al., GCN 26491) and LT (Srivastav & Smartt, GCN 26493) spectra. We detect a potential broad feature around 5400 - 6200 Angs (in observed frame). We also detected a narrow H-alpha emission line at redshift 0.037, which is consistent with the distance of the host galaxy KUG 0152+311 (z = 0.036; Haynes et al. 1997, AJ 113, 1197).

The classified objects are listed in the Related Objects table below.
