341772014-09-30 06:56:1322.19123.6ABMagR-CousinsCTIO-4m_DECAMThe apparent magnitude was calculated using APT and the guide object SDSS J024400.64+004723.0 http://skyserver.sdss.org/dr14/en/tools/explore/Summary.aspx?id=1237678617435766979. The DECaLS r-band magnitude of 19.05 was used as a reference. As the apparent magnitude was quite dim, probably because the transient had not yet reached its full luminosity, the absolute magnitude was also calculated as -14.2583 (no k-correction).
