We measure an expansion velocity of about 22000 km/s from Si II 635.5 nm absorption.


Observation of this transient object was made on 2016 01 10.85416 by Andrea Mantero at Bernezzo Observatory (MPC C77) Cuneo, Italy, with a 0.25-m f/4 reflector+ CCD and exposure 10x240sec . Link to image:

I, Kunihiro Shima made a confirming observation of this PSN. 2016.01.10.4861UT, Magnitude is esitmated as U17.5 by Astrometrica (UCAC-4) under limited magnitude 19.0. Using telescope: 45cm F4.6 Reflector, FLI ML8300, 2 bin, at Fujima-machi, Nagano, Japan. End position is RA=57.69s, De=03.7".
