Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.015
Remarks: The spectra show blue continua with weak broad features. By assuming a diffuse feature in the 2D spectral frames is H-alpha, we derive a redshift of approximately z=0.015. With this redshift, the broad features in the supernova spectra are consistent with the hydrogen Balmer series with P Cygni profiles. We therefore classify the transient as a young Type II supernova.
