Redshift: 0.03

Remarks: This is a normal type Ia supernova a few days before maximum light. An emission line is clearly visible in the 2D image. Identifying this line with H alpha yields a redshift for the host galaxy of z=0.030.

Remarks: A spectrum was obtained with the SPRAT spectrograph mounted on the robotic 2m Liverpool Telescope at the Roque de los Muchachos observatory (La Palma). Observations started on 2016 Jul 28.14.
