Enrico Cappellaro report/s a classification of object: SN 2016gcm
Type: SN Ic
Remarks: The modest S/N spectrum gives an uncertain classification, which is broadly consistent with that of a Type Ic supernova around the maximum light. The redshift derived from matching the SN spectral features, z=0.035, is somewhat higher than that of PGC166705 reportedby NED
