Coordinates (J2000): RA = 02:15:56.010 (33.983375) DEC = +33:48:43.10 (33.811972)
Discovery date: 2016-09-28 19:26:24 (JD=2457660.31)

Potential host galaxy: KUG 0212+3358
Host redshift: 0.032

Remarks: This possible supernova was discovered by the 0.6 m schmidt telescope at Xinglong Observatory during the Tsinghua-NAOC Transient Survey (TNTS). The transient is located 11" east and 4" north of the center of KUG 0212+3358. The absolute magnitude is -17.4m.
