5302016-11-01 05:18:25boseSubhash Bose, on behalf of ASAS-SN teamASAS-SNSN Ia0.074ASAS-SNThe best match is found with SN 2001ay (the slowly declining supernova with high Si II velocity; Krisciunas et al., 2011, AJ, 142, 74). After correcting redshift, Si II (6355 Angstrom) absorption velocity is found to be about 12,600 km/s. We measure V-band mag=17.7+-0.04 on 2016-10-27 from Sliding Spring 1m telescope of Las Cumbres Observatory and V-band mag=17.8+-0.16 on 2016-10-28 from All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN), the quadruple 14-cm "Brutus" telescope in Haleakala, Hawaii. It reaches M_V ~ -19.9 based on the best-fit SN redshift (z~0.074), probably overly-luminous for a SN Ia.
