Andrew Howell, Iair Arcavi, Curtis McCully, Stefano ValentiGlobal SN ProjectSN Ib/c0.03Global SN ProjectUsing Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190), we find good fits to several Type Ib/c supernovae, including some Type Ic-BL supernovae, after maximum light at redshifts around z=0.03. This redshift implies that the potential host galaxy is very faint (M_g ~ -13 mag; SDSS DR13). Follow-up photometry from Las Cumbres Observatory's network of 1-meter telescopes shows that maximum light occurred around 2017 April 10.
