Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Iair Arcavi, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano Valenti report/s a classification of object: SN 2017dry

Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.040415

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2017-05-09 18:38:25
Instrument: FLOYDS-S
Telescope: Faulkes Telescope South

Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several normal Type Ia supernovae at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.040; Jones et al. 2009, "The 6dF Galaxy Survey Data Release 3," via NED). Heavy host contamination prevents us from determining the phase accurately.
