Antonio de Ugarte Postigo (HETH/IAA-CSIC), Jonatan Selsing (DARK/NBI), Daniele Malesani (DARK/NBI) report/s a classification of object: SN 2017htp

Type: SN Ic-BL
Redshift: 0.328

Remarks: Spectrum taken 16.5 days (rest frame) after the GRB explosion, when the SN was dominating after the bright afterglow had faded. There is significant host contamination at the location of the afterglow, which was approximately removed using a spectrum of the adjacent region (the nucleus of the host) rescaled assuming no SN contribution at 3500 AA.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2017-11-01 06:00:00
Instrument: X-Shooter
Telescope: The Very Large Telescope - UT2

Remarks: This is the spectrum at the afterglow location after subtracting a host template taken from the galaxy nucleus; the spectrum is rebinned by a factor 100 to increase the S/N.
