Huber (IfA, UH Manoa)SCATVarstarSCATThe Spectral Classification of Astronomical Transients (SCAT) survey acquired a spectrum of AT2018bkn on MJD 58256.419 from 330-970nm using the SuperNova Integral Field Spectrograph (SNIFS) on the University of Hawaii 88-inch (UH88) telescope. The spectrum resembles that of a star and the transient's location does not coincide with any known galaxy, solidifying the case that the transient is stellar in origin.
