L. Khlat (ENS-Lyon), J. L. Prieto (UDP), S. Dong (KIAA-PKU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2018cgj

Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.012378

Remarks: We obtained an optical low-resolution spectrum of supernovae candidates on UT 2018 July 15 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-18lv/AT2018cgj is that of a Type IIP supernova after maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) gives a best fit age of +45.0 days after maximum light and z=0.012 as the redshift, consistent with the host galaxy redshift.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2018-07-14 23:57:07
