Daichi Hiramatsu, Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Iair Arcavi, Jamison Burke, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano Valenti report/s a classification of object: SN 2018cmj

Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.020784

Remarks: Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several Type II supernovae around the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.020784; Mathewson, Ford, and Buchhorn 1992, ApJS, 81, 413, via NED). Despite the age (a month since the discovery), the spectrum stays blue with relatively weak H features.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2018-07-11 16:27:39
Instrument: FLOYDS-S
