Malesani (DAWN/NBI and DARK/NBI)STARGATESN Ic-BL0.117STARGATEOptical afterglow of GRB 180728A (Starling et al., GCN 23046), initially discovered by Lipunov et al. (GCN 23048). Several spectra were acquired from our group, as described by Izzo et al. (GCN 23142), showing the emergence of a supernova from the GRB afterglow. The spectrum uploaded here shows a convincing match with the type-Ic SN 2002ap, thus allowing a robust classification of this SN as a broad-lined Type-Ic SN (Selsing et al., GCN 23181).
