Remarks: Emmanuel Conseil reports the discovery of a probable nova in M31, located 00 44 19.85 +41 29 26.5 at magnitude 18.2 CV on 2018-09-02 between 23:29 UTC. The object is visible on 3 images (50s exposures) taken with Slooh robotic telescope T2 (Corrected Dall-Kirkham 17" + FLI PL16803). The object is also visible on 3 images (50s exposures) taken with the same telescope on 2018-09-03 at 00h24 UTC. The object is visible, and brighter (mag 17.7 CV) on 3 images taken on 2018-09-03 at 23h20 UTC with the same telescope (Image available here : https://www.flickr.com/photos/econseil/43748677404 ) The object is visible (mag 17.7 CV) on 3 images taken on 2018-09-04 at 00h39 UTC with the same telescope There was nothing at this location on images taken on 2018-09-02 at 01h09 UTC with the same telescope. There's no known object at this location in TOCP, TNS, AstronomersTelegrams and SIMBAD. No known asteroid either at this location.
