Potential host galaxy: NGC 865

Remarks: Mi Zhang, Yi Ding, Shaohua Liu, Xiaobing Wang, Jianlin Xu, Xiaowei Zhang, Zheng Cao, Jingyuan Zhao, Xinyu Jiang, Jiangao Ruan and Xing Gao, report the discovery of a possible supernova (mag approximately 16.9) on severl 40-s survey images (limiting mag about 19.0) taken by Xing Gao in Xingming Observatory Sky Survey(C42) around Sep. 15.82042, 2018, using a unfiltered CCD ( + Celestron C14 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope D=356-mm @f/6.9 ). The new object approximately located at R.A.=02h16m15.55s +28d35'28".7 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 5.9" east and 30.3" south of the center of the NGC 865. Nothing is visible at this position on archival image taken on Sep. 13.93038, 2018 (limiting mag 18.5). All images can be seen from:http://www.xjltp.com/XOSS/PSP18C/PSP18C.htm.
