Patrick Wiggins report/s the discovery of a new astronomical transient.

Discovery date: 2018-02-11 06:25:31 (JD=2458160.7677199)

Potential host galaxy: NGC 3147

Remarks: P. Wiggins, Tooele, UT, USA, reports his discovery of a possible supernova (mag about 14.96) on an unfiltered CCD frame taken 2018 Feb 11 06:25:31 UT using a 0.35-m f/5.5 reflector near Erda, UT, USA. The new object is located at R.A. 10h15m039.90s, Decl. +73°26’04.83” (equinox 2000.0), about 338” NW of the center of NGC 3147. Wiggins notes that nothing was visible at this position on an image taken on Feb 08.
