Remarks: P. Clay Sherrod, Arkansas Sky Observatories reports discovery of a possible 19.12 (unfiltered) supernova (mag about 19.12) on an unfiltered CCD frame taken 2018 Feb 13 01:23:47 UT using a 0.51-m f/5.9 astrograph on Petit Jean Mountain, USA. The new object is located at R.A. 04 23 20.80, Decl. +75 19 28.0 (equinox 2000.0), 106” NNW (P.A. = 341deg) of the center of NGC 1530. Sherrod notes that nothing was visible at this position on an image taken on Jan 08; note this faint star is very close (east) of 17th mag. A2_1650 00820899
