IAU Designation: AT 2018xw
Discoverer internal name: C16-0070
Coordinates (J2000): RA = 08:40:50.531 (130.210546) DEC = +24:28:42.22 (24.478394)
Discovery date: 2018-01-25 17:03:17 (JD=2458144.21062)

Potential host galaxy: SDSS J084050.53+242842.2
Host redshift: 0.474

Remarks: Object is well separated from K2 galactic sources and therefore did not meet criteria to issue an alert. However, target position does overlap K2 pixel, and should result in a well-sampled light curve.
