Schuldt, Vogl, Taubenberger, Fiore, Benetti, Cappellaro, Tomasella, Turatto report/s a classification of object: SN 2019bao

Type: SN II-pec
Redshift: 0.011885

Remarks: Blue continuum with broad Balmer lines reminiscent of early (few days after explosion) type II SNe spectra. However H-alpha profile is possibly contaminated by HeI 667.8 nm line. The other HeI lines seem to be present. HeI 597.6 nm is intense, showing a sharp absorption and an intermediate width component (FWHM~5000 km/s). The expansion velocity deduced from the H-alpha minimum is 13400 km/s. The redshift for the host galaxy UGC 5687 (= PGC 1078) z=0.011885 is reported by Giovannelli and Avera 1997, AJ 114, 122 (via NED).
