Daichi Hiramatsu, Jamison Burke, Iair Arcavi, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano Valenti report/s a classification of object: SN 2019dfa

Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.025731

Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several Type Ia SNe around 10 days before maximum at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.025731; 1995ApJS..100..69F, via NED). At the redshift, the absolute extinction-corrected magnitude in B-band taken at UTC 2019-04-11 10:21:40 is -16.9. We measure a Si II 6355 velocity of -13,000 km/s.
