Benetti (INAF - Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova)Padova-AsiagoSN II0.0055Padova-AsiagoThe low S/N spectrum (because of scattered clouds and bright Moon) shows a blue continuum and hints of broad H Balmer features consistent with a young type II SN. We also detect narrow Halpha and [OIII] emission lines from a nearby HII region from which we derive a redshift of 0.0055 in agreement with z=0.0058 reported for NGC 2805 by Almeida et al. 2011, ApJ 735 via NED.
