L. Tomasella, S. Benetti, E. Cappellaro, M. Turatto (INAF Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova) report/s a classification of object: SN 2019ifm

Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.02308

Remarks: The spectrum is consistent with that of a Type II SN, few days after explosion. The expansion velocity of the ejecta as derived from the broad Halpha emission is about 11000 km/s, while from the Hbeta absorption of the P-Cygni profile is about 8400 km/s. The redshift z=0.02308 is derived from the narrow Halpha emission of the host galaxy, marginally consistent with z=0.024073 reported by Falco et al. 1999 PASP 111, 438 (via NED).
