Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.010377

Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe II, including SN 1999em. The supernova is closest to WISEA J102849.18-312953.3 (z = 0.010377, 20096dF...C...0000J; value from NED). This redshift is well-matched by narrow host hydrogen and O II emission lines. Assuming this redshift, we measure a hydrogen velocity of about 11,000 km/s from the Hα absorption. The B-band absolute magnitude roughly coeval with the spectrum is approximately -16 and fading (apparent magnitude 17.2).
