Group: None
Jujia Zhang, Kai Ye (YNAO); Xiaofeng Wang (THU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2019wep
Type: SN II-pecRedshift: 0.025
Remarks: The spectrum characterized by a blue continuum and prominent emission lines of He II, H I, C IV, and NV is well matched to the young type II supernova with signatures of interaction. Cross-correlation with the comparison tool GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383, https://gelato.tng.iac.es) shows that it matches with SN 1998S at t = +3 days after the explosion.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2019-12-08 20:24:00
Instrument: YFOSC
Telescope: Lijiang 2.4m telescope - Yunnan Obsvervatories
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2019wep
