Aaron Do, Michael A Tucker, Anna V Payne, Jason T Hinkle, Mark E Huber, Benjamin J Shappee (IfA UH Manoa) report/s a classification of object: SN 2019xhx

Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.04

Remarks: SNID finds several fits with Type Ia-norm, Ia-91bg-like, and Ic supernovae. The Ia-norm fits put the phase at between 20-30 days after maximum light, which does not seem right given the magnitude and redshift. Care should be taken before using this supernova for large Ia surveys.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2019-12-27 06:20:29
Instrument: SNIFS
Telescope: UH 88inch

Remarks: Reduced with a summit-based quick-reduction pipeline.
