Group: None
Patrick Kelly (UMN), Laura Salo (UMN), Saurabh Jha (Rutgers) report/s a classification of object: SN 2020cpu
Type: SNRedshift: 0.0328
Remarks: We obtained spectra of AT 2020cpu (ZTF20aanvqbi) on 2020 February 17 UT using the Boller & Chivens optical spectrograph mounted on the 2.3m Bok telescope at Kitt Peak. We find a blue continuum consistent with a young core-collapse supernova and superposed host-galaxy nebular emission lines with a redshift z=0.0328.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2020-02-17 00:00:00
Instrument: BC-Bok
Telescope: Bok Telescope
Remarks: The spectrum blue of ~4500 Ang may not be reliable.
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2020cpu
