From the spectroscopic appearance and the photometric constraints, we estimate a phase about 2 weeks after explosion. The observations were performed on the night of 2020 January 20 with the ESO Very Large Telescope UT1, equipped with the FORS2 spectrograph and grism 300V, covering a wavelength range from 3400 to 9600A at a resolution of 10A. The spectrum of SN 2020ajd resembles those of normal SNe Ic about 2 weeks after maximum light. A good match is e.g. provided by a SN 2004aw spectrum at +15d (Taubenberger et al. 2006, MNRAS, 371, 1459).2020TNSCR.212....1S

A weak, narrow He II emission line is also detected, suggesting long-lasting flash ionisation of a surrounding CSM. The appearance of the spectrum is consistent with the phase of 7d after explosion estimated from the ZTF and ATLAS light curves. At an absolute magnitude of -18.4 as inferred from our V-band acquisition image, the SN is very bright for a SN II.2019TNSCR2236....1T

Frank on UT 2016 March 14-15 with OSMOS (range 398-686 nm) mounted on the MDM 2.4m telescope at KPNO. We used SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) to aid with the type and phase of the SN spectra. ASASSN-16bx is a Type Ia SN about one month after peak brightness (best fit SNID template is SN1999gd at +34 days) and ASASSN-16cy is a normal Type Ia a couple days before maximum (best fit SNID template is SN2002de at -4 days). After correcting the spectrum of ASASSN-16cy for its host galaxy redshift (z=0.034811), we measure a expansion velocity from the Si II 635.5nm line of 12600 km/s. 2016TNSCR1012....1F

Frank on UT 2016 March 14-15 with OSMOS (range 398-686 nm) mounted on the MDM 2.4m telescope at KPNO. We used SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) to aid with the type and phase of the SN spectra. ASASSN-16bx is a Type Ia SN about one month after peak brightness (best fit SNID template is SN1999gd at +34 days) and ASASSN-16cy is a normal Type Ia a couple days before maximum (best fit SNID template is SN2002de at -4 days). After correcting the spectrum of ASASSN-16cy for its host galaxy redshift (z=0.034811), we measure a expansion velocity from the Si II 635.5nm line of 12600 km/s.2016TNSCR1012....1F

ASASSN-16dm is a Type II-P SN near peak (best match is SN 2006bp at +3 days), ASASSN-16dn is normal Type Ia SN before maximum light at z=0.012 +/- 0.003 (from SN lines, no host galaxy lines are detected; best match is SN 2007A at -3 days), and ASASSN-16dp is a Type Ia SN about a week after maximum (best match is SN 1999ef at +7 days).
