Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) indicates that 2011eg is most similar to the type-II-plateau supernova 2004et at 4 days past maximum light. A second spectrogram taken on July 28.35 shows 2011eg to be a type-IIp supernova most similar to SN 1999em within several weeks of maximum light.

Cross-correlation with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows 2016asf to be a normal type-Ia supernova approximately 10 days pre-maximum light. We find a good fit to the template of SN 2003du at T = -10 days. Our fit yields a redshift of z = 0.021. Using the presumed redshift of z=0.021 we measure an expansion velocity for the Si II (rest 635.5 nm) feature of 14,000 km/s.

1822016-04-08 22:41:51DAO_OTSDave BalamDAO_OTSSN Ia-pec0.0321DAO_OTSA spectrum was obtained of SN 2016bkr (ATEL #8857) on Apr. 8.41 UT using the 1.82-m Plaskett telescope (National Research Council of Canada) covering the range 385-710 nm (resolution 0.32 nm). Cross-correlation with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows 2016bkr to be a peculiar type-Ia supernova approximately 12 days post-maximum light. There was strong H-alpha emission from the presumed host galaxy (2MASS J11032043+7153141) that yielded a host galaxy redshift of z=0.032. We find a good fit of the supernova spectrum to that of SN 1997br at 12 days post-maximum light. Using the presumed redshift of z=0.032 we measure an expansion velocity for the Si II (rest 635.5 nm) feature of 13,200 km/s

Cross-correlation of the spectrum with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) has yielded a good fit to the type-Ia supernova 2002er at 3 days post-maximum light. The apparent host galaxy is IC 3895 with a published (SDSS 2006) redshift of 0.024. If we assume that the redshift is correct for the supernova then we measure an expansion velocity for the Si II (rest 635.5 nm) feature of 11,300 km/s.

2162016-05-09 18:16:56DAO_OTSDave BalamDAO_OTSSN IIP0.0181DAO_OTSA spectrum was obtained on UT May 09.36 of AT2016ccm in IC 983 using the 1.82-m Plaskett telescope (National Research Council of Canada) covering the range 365-710 nm (resolution 0.35 nm). Cross-correlation with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows AT2016ccm to be a core-collapse supernova approximately 1 week post maximum light. We find a fit to the template of (SN IIp) 2006bp at 7 days past maximum. Our solution yields a host redshift of z=0.017. The apparent host is IC983 with a published redshift (NED) of z=0.018.

Cross-correlation of the spectrum with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) has yielded a good fit to the type-Ia supernova 1996X at phase T = -1 day. The apparent host galaxy is UGC 6434 with a published (Huchra, J. P. et al., 2012, ApJ Supp. 199) redshift of z = 0.034. If we assume that the redshift is correct for the supernova then we measure an expansion velocity for the Si II (rest 635.5 nm) feature of 10,400 km/s.

Cross-correlation of the spectrum with a template library using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) has yielded a fit to the type-Ia supernova 1994D at maximum. A faint and un-catalogued probable host galaxy is located 3 seconds of arc to the south-west of the supernova position. Our spectrum fit implies a redshift of the order z = 0.04.

There are several possible host galaxies with no published redshifts. Our solution yields a redshift of 0.043 for this object.
