D. Balam, Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, National Research Council of Canada; M. L. Graham, Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope, University of California at Santa Barbara; and E. Y. Hsiao, Aarhus University, report that a spectrogram (range 369-700 nm, resolution 0.3 nm) of PSN J14354590+2443179 = SN 2014bg, obtained on June 6.36 UT with the 1.82-m Plaskett Telescope of the National Research Council of Canada, shows it to be a type-Ia supernova near maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) indicates that 2014bg is most similar to the type-Ia supernova 2003du at 1 day post-maximum light.

112016-01-15 14:44:40jujiajujia ZhangNoneSN Ia0.03071We report an optical spectrum (range 350-900 nm) of ASASSN-16aj (ATEL #8542, AT 2016K) obtained on UT 2016 Jan. 15.5 with the 2.4 m telescope ( LJT + YFOSC) at Lijiang observatory of Yunnan Observatories. The spectrum is consistent with a Type Ia supernova at around maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ. 666, 1024) shows that it matches with SN 2003du at t = -1 days. Adopting a redshift of 0.0307 for its host galaxy NGC 1562, an expansion velocity of about 11,500 km/s can be derived from the absorption minimum of Si II 635.5 nm.

Shappee (Carnegie)ASAS-SNSN Ia0.03861ASAS-SNOptical spectra of the supernova candidates ASASSN-16fd/AT2016cdb (ATel #9057), ASASSN-16fe/AT2016cdc (ATel #9057), ASASSN-16fg/AT2016cky (ATel #9059), and ASASSN-16fl/AT2016cnx (ATel #9079) were obtained on UT 2016 June 10 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5-m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) show that all 4 transients are Type Ia SNe after maximum light. The spectrum of ASASSN-16fe is most consistent with a Type Ia at +15 days. The SNID redshift from the SN features is z=0.0386.
