Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Jan. 11.96336 UT(limiting mag 19.0).

The spectrum is that of a normal Type Ia caught early. The best fit templates with SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) are of normal SN Ia at <~1 week before maximum light After correcting the spectrum for the redshift of the host galaxy (z=0.013493), we measure a Si II 6355 Ang. expansion velocity of 14500 km/s from the minimum of the P-Cygni absorption through.
