The spectrum shows that ASASSN-16nm is a Type Ia SN after maximum light. We cross-correlated the spectrum with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). The spectrum of ASASSN-16nm is most consistent with a normal SN Ia at +8 days after maximum light.

SimonianASAS-SNSN Ia0.0411ASAS-SNWe obtained spectra (range 3960-6850 Angstroms) of AT2016iyx and AT2016iyy on UT 2017 Jan 8.3 with OSMOS mounted on the MDM 2.4m telescope at KPNO. The spectrum of AT2016iyx is that of a normal Type Ia a couple of weeks after maximum light. Nebular lines of Halpha, Hbeta and [O III] from its host galaxy give a redshift of z=0.0410.

We used SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) to identify the type and phase of the SN spectra. The spectrum matches with SNe Ia-norm, around maximum light. SNID estimates the redshift to be z=0.029.

6872017-01-04 14:26:43jlprietoJ. L. PrietoASAS-SNSN IIn0.07681ASAS-SNWe report an optical spectroscopic observation of ASASSN-16pp/AT2016jgr (ATel #9927) on UT 2017 Jan 3.03 using the du Pont 2.5-m telescope (+ WFCCD) at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-16pp shows a blue continuum with H Balmer and He I 5876 lines in emission. The lines have a narrow (unresolved) component and an intermediate velocity component (with Gaussian FWHM ~ 2000 km/s) characteristic of a Type IIn SN. We measure a redshift of z=0.0768 from the narrow part of the SN emission lines, which implies an absolute magnitude at discovery of M_V ~ -20.4.

The spectrum of ASASSN-17ad is that of a Type Ia caught on the rise. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the SNID and GELATO give best matches with normal Type Ia at 8-10 days before maximum light. After correcting for the redshift of the host galaxy (z=0.032863), we measure a Si II 635.5 nm expansion velocity from the P-Cygni absorption trough of 15600 km/s.

The spectrum is that of a normal SN Ia at maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of SN spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) shows that ASASSN-17gl is best fit with normal SN Ia at an age of +3 days after maximum light (best-fit template is the spectrum of SN Ia 2001ep at +3 days). Prieto (UDP)ASAS-SNSN IIn0.01731ASAS-SNWe obtained an optical spectrum of AT2017hcc on 2017 October 7.4 with FLOYDS mounted on the FTS 2m at the Siding Spring Observatory. The spectrum shows a relatively blue continuum with one strong, resolved emission line at 6676.3 Angstrom with FWHM~44 Angstrom (~2000 km/s). Stanek (OSU) ASAS-SNSN Ia1ASAS-SNWe obtained an optical spectrum of ASASSN-17pe/AT2017ige on UT 2017 Nov. 19.5 with FAST mounted on the FLWO 1.5m telescope. The spectrum of ASASSN-17pe is that of a normal Type Ia SN a couple of weeks after maximum.
