Dong (KIAA-PKU)ASAS-SNSN II0.0123781ASAS-SNWe obtained an optical low-resolution spectrum of supernovae candidates on UT 2018 July 15 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-18lv/AT2018cgj is that of a Type IIP supernova after maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) gives a best fit age of +45.0 days after maximum light and z=0.012 as the redshift, consistent with the host galaxy redshift.

Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano ValentiGlobal SN ProjectSN Ia0.021Global SN ProjectUsing SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find a good fit to the normal Type Ia SN 2002de 2 days after maximum light at a redshift of z=0.021, which is consistent with that of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.020; di Nella et al. 1996, A&AS, 118, 311 via NED).
