6042016-12-05 13:01:34jlprietoB. J. Shappee, J. L. Prieto, J. Rich, B. MadoreASAS-SNSN Ia1ASAS-SNWe report an optical spectrum (range 370-920 nm) of ASASSN-16jc/AT2016fej obtained on UT 2016 Aug. 30.0 with the du Pont 2.5-m telescope (+ WFCCD) at Las Campanas Observatory. We performed a cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). The spectrum of ASASSN-16jc is most similar to the spectrum of the normal SN2007F at -6 days before maximum light.

3522016-08-27 08:27:20linatomaLina TomasellaPadova-AsiagoAGN0.081Padova-AsiagoThe redshift is measured from the position of the maximum of [O III] line at 5007A. Hbeta shows a FWHM of ~1500km/s, which is compatible with the characteristics of a Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 galaxy. Following Berton et al. 2015, A&A, 578, 28, we infer a black hole mass of ~10^7 Msun. The target might be associated with the X-ray source 1RXS J201154.6+811600.

Using the redshift 0.034 (suggested by SNID), from the position of the minimum of the Si II 635nm feature, we infer an expansion velocity of ~12600 km/s for the ejected material.

Madore (Carnegie Ob)ASAS-SNSN Ia0.0241ASAS-SNWe report an optical spectrum (range 370-920 nm) of ASASSN-16jq/AT2016fob obtained on UT 2016 Sep. 1.4 with the du Pont 2.5-m telescope (+ WFCCD) at Las Campanas Observatory. We performed a cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). The spectrum of ASASSN-16jq is that of a normal Type Ia at -1 days before maximum light. The SNID redshift from the SN features is 0.024 +/- 0.005.

Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano ValentiLCOGT SN-KPSN Ia0.0191LCOGT SN-KPUsing SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several Type Ia supernovae, both normal and 91T-like, at the redshift of the proposed host galaxy (z=0.019; Jones et al. 2009, "The 6dF Galaxy Survey Data Release 3," via NED). The spectrum is relatively red, probably due to significant host extinction.

Stanek (OSU)ASAS-SNSN II0.02661ASAS-SNWe obtained an optical spectrum (range 3600-9200 Angs) of ASASSN-16ml/AT2016hpt on UT Oct. 31.0 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum shows broad (FWHM ~ 10000 km/s) Balmer lines and a blue continuum, consistent with a young Type II SN. From narrow H-alpha and [O III] 5007 lines, we measure a redshift of z=0.0266 for GALEXASC J215436.98-425103.9, the host galaxy of ASASSN-16ml.

The temperature of ASASSN-16mx is between 35,000 and 45,000 as measured from a blackbody fit, consistent with a CV in outburst. We note that the transient is at relatively high latitude (-49 deg).

5952016-12-02 17:05:48jlprietoP. Berlind, E. Falco, J. L. PrietoASAS-SNSN Ia1ASAS-SNAn optical spectrum obtained on UT Dec 1.9 with FAST mounted on the FLWO 1.5m telescope shows that ASASSN-16nv/AT2016ipi is a normal Type Ia at peak. We cross-correlated the spectrum with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). The spectrum of ASASSN-16nv is most consistent with the spectrum of the normal Type Ia SN2006cf at +2 days after maximum light.
