Campillay (LCO)NoneLBV0.0015581The spectrum is blue with Balmer and He I P-Cygni features and several strong absorption features including Ca H&K and several Fe II lines. The spectrum is generically similar to 'cool' LBV outbursts such as UGC 2773 OT-1 (Smith et al., 2010, AJ, 193, 1451; Foley et al., 2011, ApJ, 732, 32). The spectrum is also similar to the Type IIn SN 1994W (Sollerman et al., 1998, ApJ, 493, 933). Correcting for the small redshift of NGC 0045 (cz = 467 km/s; Monnier Ragaigne et al., 2003, A&A, 408, 465), we find that the minimum of the H-alpha absorption for AT 2018htr is blueshifted by -1240 km/s. The absorption feature extends to approximately -2100 km/s. ATel: 12166

McCullyGlobal SN ProjectSN Ia0.0081Global SN ProjectUsing SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find a good fit to the normal Type Ia SN 2002bo 13 days before maximum light at redshift z=-0.001. This negative redshift from SNID, compared to the host galaxy redshift of z=0.008 (Cappellari et al. 2011, MNRAS, 413, 813), likely indicates that the supernova is even younger than -13 days.

30872018-11-24 16:17:26myamanakaMasayuki YamanakaNoneSN II0.003791We obtained the low-resolution spectrum of AT 2018ivc using the HOWPol attached to the 1.5-m Kanata telescope on Nov. 24.6 in 2018. The spectrum exhibits the featureless blue continuum, suggesting that this SN is classified as a young core collapse SN. GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) suggests that this SN is similar to that of Type II SN 2009bw at 4 days after the explosion date.

Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, David Sand, Leonardo TartagliaLCOGT SN-KPSN II0.0034681LCOGT SN-KPThe spectrum has developed strong, broad H-alpha and calcium features at the redshift of the host galaxy (z=0.003; HIPASS Catalog via NED) on top of the existing red continuum, consistent with a highly reddened Type II supernova. Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits between our spectrum from 2016-12-22 (one month after discovery) and several Type II supernovae 2 to 6 weeks after maximum light.

15762017-12-27 17:51:07nidiaNidia MorrellNoneSN Ic0.0111Cross correlation with a library of supernova spectra via the Supernova Identification tool (SNID, Blondin and Tonry, 2007, ApJ 666, 1024) yields good matches with many type Ic supernovae between zero and ten days from maximum light, being the most similar SN1997ei at 11 days past maximum. Strong nebular emission at the redshift of the host is superimposed on the supernova spectrum. Note that a previous spectroscopic report as 'Galaxy' (ATel #11069) given to this transient was most probably due to a mistake in the coordinates originally uploaded to the TNS.
