The spectrum of ASASSN-16gz/AT2016cyz is consistent with a Type Ia at +45 days after maximum and with a redshift of z=0.032 (from SN features).

We performed a cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). The spectrum of ASASSN-16jc is most similar to the spectrum of the normal SN2007F at -6 days before maximum light.

The spectrum is consistent with a Type Ia around peak heavily contaminated by the host galaxy light. After correcting for the redshift of the host galaxy, we measure a Si II 6355 expansion velocity of ~12000 km/s.

After correcting redshift, Si II (6355 Angstrom) absorption velocity is found to be about 12,600 km/s. We measure V-band mag=17.7+-0.04 on 2016-10-27 from Sliding Spring 1m telescope of Las Cumbres Observatory and V-band mag=17.8+-0.16 on 2016-10-28 from All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN), the quadruple 14-cm "Brutus" telescope in Haleakala, Hawaii. It reaches M_V ~ -19.9 based on the best-fit SN redshift (z~0.074), probably overly-luminous for a SN Ia.

The spectrum shows broad (FWHM ~ 10000 km/s) Balmer lines and a blue continuum, consistent with a young Type II SN. From narrow H-alpha and [O III] 5007 lines, we measure a redshift of z=0.0266 for GALEXASC J215436.98-425103.9, the host galaxy of ASASSN-16ml.

The spectrum of AT2016idl shows Hbeta, Hgamma and Hdelta emission lines, as well as He I 5875, characteristic of a Type IIn SN. The Hbeta emission line profile can be well fit with 2 Gaussian compoments with FWHM = 1700 km/s and 5400 km/s. The redshift measured from the peak wavelengths of the Hbetta and Hgamma emission lines is z=0.058.

The spectrum of ASASSN-16nm is most consistent with a normal SN Ia at +8 days after maximum light.

We cross-correlated the spectrum with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024). The spectrum of ASASSN-16nv is most consistent with the spectrum of the normal Type Ia SN2006cf at +2 days after maximum light.

The spectrum of ASASSN-16pp shows a blue continuum with H Balmer and He I 5876 lines in emission. The lines have a narrow (unresolved) component and an intermediate velocity component (with Gaussian FWHM ~ 2000 km/s) characteristic of a Type IIn SN. We measure a redshift of z=0.0768 from the narrow part of the SN emission lines, which implies an absolute magnitude at discovery of M_V ~ -20.4.

The spectrum of ASASSN-17ad is that of a Type Ia caught on the rise. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the SNID and GELATO give best matches with normal Type Ia at 8-10 days before maximum light. After correcting for the redshift of the host galaxy (z=0.032863), we measure a Si II 635.5 nm expansion velocity from the P-Cygni absorption trough of 15600 km/s.

After cross-correlation with a library of SN spectra using SNID, we find that the best fit template is that of the normal SN Ia 2003ch at 0 days. After correcting for the redshift of the host galaxy (z=0.05027), we measure a Si II 635.5 nm expansion velocity from the P-Cygni absorption trough of 10900 km/s.
