We measure Si II 6355 Angs. expansion velocity of 9800 km/s from the minimum of the P-Cygni absorption trough.

The cool photosphere and possible carbon detection are both notable features of the peculiar SN 2006bt (Foley et al., 2010, ApJ, 708, 1748).

The transient approximately located at R.A.=09h59m39.94s +35d23'42".2 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 15.6" west and 8.1" north of the center of the NGC3074. Nothing is visible at this position on archival images taken on Feb. 28.82755 UT(limiting mag 19.0).
