The PSN is visible on several images (limiting magnitude about 18.2) taken at 2017 12 13.88 UT from MPC K82. The new object is located at A.R. = 02h 11m 15.36s, Decl. = +37° 29’ 48.3” (equinox 2000.0, astrometry with respect to UCAC-4 catalogue) which is 24 arcsec west and 2 arcsec south of the center of Galaxy NGC 841. Checked Minor Planet Center for asteroids and VSX for variable stars.

The new object approximately located at R.A.=02h16m15.55s +28d35'28".7 (equinox 2000.0). Which is about 5.9" east and 30.3" south of the center of the NGC 865. Nothing is visible at this position on archival image taken on Sep. 13.93038, 2018 (limiting mag 18.5). All images can be seen from:http://www.xjltp.com/XOSS/PSP18C/PSP18C.htm. The spectrum is generically similar to 'cool' LBV outbursts such as UGC 2773 OT-1 (Smith et al., 2010, AJ, 193, 1451; Foley et al., 2011, ApJ, 732, 32). The spectrum is also similar to the Type IIn SN 1994W (Sollerman et al., 1998, ApJ, 493, 933). Correcting for the small redshift of NGC 0045 (cz = 467 km/s; Monnier Ragaigne et al., 2003, A&A, 408, 465), we find that the minimum of the H-alpha absorption for AT 2018htr is blueshifted by -1240 km/s. At the distance of NGC300 (distance modulus of 25.83; NED value) the object’s magnitude Mr=-8.5 is more consistent with an LBV (or very young SN IIn). Guhathakurta (UCSC)UCSCLBV0.0061UCSCRed spectrum (black body temperature ~ 4,500 K, assuming no host extinction) with a distinctive narrow H-alpha emission feature (FWHM ~ 1300 km/s), red-shifted at 260 km/s relative to the host (NGC 718, with spectroscopic redshift z = 0.005781). The (observed) absolute magnitude of the transient is M_r = -13.3, and dereddening by an appropriate amount to match the Na D absorption strength (EW ~ 6 Angstroms), we estimate a temperature of 15,700 K and an absolute magnitude of ~ -16. We consider these properties most similar to a reddened LBV outburst, however it is also consistent with a luminous red nova.
